WHO RESCUED WHO by Ayala Nunez (Original Post: 3/12/2018)

Well I guess, “Do good unto others and even animals and (most certainly) good will always come your way!” And that is exactly what I did two days ago. I drove a whopping 3 hours and 39 minutes all the way down to Vinton (Ohio) and back. In the process, I adopted Louie, My “NEWLY Rescued” Bull Terrier Pup. Now, if you were the least-bit curious in how I came across naming this little guy “Louie”, well, it’s rather simple to say the least. Louie is his RESCUE NAME! I never changed it. I truly felt that his “Rescue Name” was quite fitting for him. He’s literally my little Louisville Slugger – A Fighter in so many ways!

His story is rather sad but very inspirational at the same time. He was a premature pup, to begin with, and quite severely neglected. Yeah, he was 2-3 weeks premature. And the previous owner kept him only in a crate for all of his 1st-year in life and rarely let him out, from what was reported by K-9 Rescue Officials. And because of this, his hind-quarters became severely contracted, from continual lack of range-of-motion due to the deplorable conditions from which he was found. It was completely apparent that the cage which housed this poor little guy was extremely small where Louie was unable to walk nor jump, sadly enough as a result!

But because of the kindness and love of one of the Veterinarians there in Jackson County and Brandy, one of the owners of a kennel there in Vinton (OH), Louie was able to have a 2nd chance at life at being the “DAWG” that he was always meant to be – NOW A FAN… OF THE “NEW LOOK” & REVAMPED CLEVELAND BROWNS!!! Well, at least that’s how I’d like for him to be, LoL!

Indeed, from the kindness of their hearts, Jackson County surgeons whom were affiliated with the same veterinarian hospital system were able to perform life-changing surgery on his legs and hips. Then, he went through extensive “rehab” in order to regain enough strength and understanding to relearn how to walk again. And this was what he was able to do with the right patience, care and love that was provided to him. Later, after all the hard work and doggy-dog play, Louie was able to jump, walk and run again as a result from their assistance and care in unconditional love and kindness. As to how I got hold of him is beyond me. He was a Gift from God. Yes, it was all so very synchronistic, to say the least.

We bonded immediately when we first met. It was as if we already knew each other. And (guess what) Louie is NOW a Browns Fan (just like me) and he just absolutely LOVES the Cleveland Downtown City Life! He get’s so many compliments from local folks. He’s literally a People Magnet, LoL! He loves people and he absolutely loves kids! And (now) he’s got a forever home as they say! The compliments he gets on the daily are of the following:

4. You never see a Beautiful Dog like that!
5. Nice Terrier!
6. Nice Dog! But (hey) what’s your name!
7. Chico!

So, yes, just from all of the above commentary, Louie just absolutely loves the Downtown Cleveland City Life! And I love it too, now that Louie is here with me to stay! And how couldn’t you!!! This community that I was most recently blessed with to move into is absolutely “The Number #1 Prime Location” for Dogs & Dog Lovers alike! It’s an animal-lover’s haven and a treasure-trove of surprising delights, as far as fee-good-energy is concerned, tucked right in the middle – in between the exciting East Bank of the Flats and Cleveland’s well-renown Historic Warehouse District.

To tell you the truth, it reminds me of exactly “the very same energy” as how it would feel to be implanted straight right-slap-dab-in-the-middle of the San Francisco Bay Area! – Enthusiastically enamored with the eclectic nature of up-and-down Trollies, ornately-decorated hills and of the several fan-favored-foodie hot spots from what locals can only describe as completely… AMAZING!

It’s literally Downtown Cleveland’s Secret Little Gem!!! And now I get to share it with this Beautiful & Adorable Little Creature. Well, he’s not so very little, but he’s always going to be my little “Minnie Me!” That’s for sure!

AND THIS GUY… IS COMPLETELY A MIRACLE!!! HE RESCUED ME!
